Petrol is currently selling  at a  hefty sum of  Rs 300 a litre and diesel at Rs 150 in Agartala due to  monstrous rainfall and traffic disruptions along the Assam-Tripura highway.Due to heavy rainfall,there are several problems in transporting of petrol which is why petrol is now  being rationed and vehicles refilled on an ODD-EVEN basis(Thanks to Arvind Ji!).

It has forced the residents to protest on streets over such drastic increase in the prices.Due to  such drastic increment in petrol prices,the amount of each and everything from cereals to meat has increased manyfolds completely disrupting the normal life of the public.
